Hi im looking into lowering my bug. i thought i'd throw something out here and hopefully get some feed back on best ways to do so, easiest, tips, advice. etc. its a 71 super beetle if it makes a difference. please get back to me i could use the help. thank youu!

The cheap solution is to cut the springs, the good solution is to replace the struts with some adjustable or lowered ones, they cost around $90 the pair

You can purchase lowered springs that will work on the struts you already have. This will, however, make the ride stiffer. They run around $80-90 for the pair. I am doing it this way to my 74SB as well. Hope this helps.

If you want a decent ride do it right get the lowering cartridge and the springs, otherwise it ain'r going to be a fun ride after a while.

do it right or dont do it at all it wont be fun trust me spend a little money its worth it

Home Depot, buy five or six saw metal blades and cut your springs...lol

I found some good deal on ebay, but it is still pricey, for the whole setup you can easily pay $300.

I personally cut the springs, but I do not recommend this solution, it is working if you are keeping the front wheels on the ground
