I am starting this thread so that folks can write in when they fix/modify/customize or whatever on their cars. It is usually one of the more active threads on other sites. Can't wait to hear from everyone.

I pulled the tins off my new motor and painted them with "hammered black" spray paint. They look pretty good for a can job.

r &r'd my dist. cap and check the oil. the single cab was having a hard time starting. not anymore.

Installed Gene Berg shifter, fixed fuel gauge + sending unit, redid all wiring (don't know how the previous owner had it that assbackwards and managed to get around), replaced wiper arms/motor/reducer, prepped front end for installation of wide 5 disc brakes, drop spindles, narrowed beam (still shopping for beam).

2110 with built heads and engle 140 cam sitting on engine stand with no carb(s). Need to find me a set of 44IDFs if anyone has any leads.

today I did...nothing....but tomorrow i want to put the engine back and drive !!!

I pirated the rest of the parts off the 1600 and getting ready to take the 2110 in to finish the build. Found out I need to drill the mounting holes bigger in the case to fit the doghouse cooler...there's always something isn't there!

Today, I did nothing. But yester day I got the rubber to go around her head light rings and I got the handle for my gas tank. Don't know when i'll put them on...... but I got them!!!

Yesterday, replaced the stock crankshaft pulley with an aftermarket threaded pulley (was leaking oil), replaced the old fan shroud with a chrome doghouse, fired up the 2110 with a single weber 40 IDF just to let the neighbors know I'm still alive, re-torqued the heads on my 1600 .. these were extremely loose and blow by was evident. Had to replace the lash caps on the 1600 due to mushroomed valve stems, finished the drop spindles in the front, installed the H4 headlight conversion housings + bulbs, pulled off the heater boxes and installed the j-tubes, headers, and turbo muffler. Yelled at the autobody shop employees for backing their truck into my bug and busting the rear tail light and lying about it (someone snitched).

Replaced the shift rod guide, bushing, and rod coupling. Shifts like a brand new car now.

Today I did nothing. Yesterday, I changed her oil and gave her a new fuel filter. She is running like a dream once again!
