I have brake lights !!!! wouhou !!!! ready for the cruise to the Deer park tomorrow !

Been driving the buggy around and fixing all the little problems that are popping up. Going to check the valve clearance today since I was hearing some popping from the carbs. Went through and tightened up the front end nuts/bolts to stop the front from shimmying...seemed to help but still feels a little off (maybe it's just a light front end?).

runs great now!...#1 intake and #3 exhaust were really loose. Put my offroad tires and rims on and raised the front up. Seems to handle a bit better and feels more stable.

(Yesterday) Surprise surprise.. actually not really. The EMPI 44 HPMX carbs run just fine out of the box. Took me all of 45 minutes to put it all together.

Oh, I had also found some old porsche fuchs style rims for WIDE FIVE applications. Going to clean these up and get them on the car.

Any pics of your rims, I'm curious

They look like these but extremely faded in the black area. The chrome needs to be polished bad.. .

Purchased from a guy in Lakeside, CA for 400 duckets. They're old wide 5 American Eagle Fuchs replicas.

id like to lower my 71 bug, i heard the easiest way is to just drop the spindles? any suggestions?? advice? also im looking for exhaust and chrome bumpers if neone has leads on that the exhaust it has will definitely get crushed if i drop it how i'd like. haha
