Ok I know that I have seen somewhere where someone was talking about how to I.D. what type of engine is in your bug. My question is what if there aren't any numbers or letters below the generator stand? I have spent some time and effort trying to locate something that would tell me what it is. I don't think its a 1600 cc cause even without it being tuned up I can still reach speeds of 80 Mph on the interstate. And is that good for a bug? This is my first one to own so sorry for the noob questions. Thanks....

Are there any numbers onthe bottom of the block by the push rod tubes? 80 with a stock tranny might be pushing it a little. By the way the baja looks great!
