The chrome moldings on my bug were shaved, Just got bug painted. I would like to put moldings back on. Do not want to drill new holes. What do you guys think about 3M two sided tape?

problem with the tape is theres not enough material behind the molding for the tape to grab to really work, belive me i know i tried in on a 66 for the door when i was short of clips, made it about a day and a half, lost it on I-15 someplace. re drill and reinstall right or leave it off
