you may have a vacuum leak or some other problem i would adjust or have it adjusted along with a basic check of everything else like timing and valves.

it may be as simple as your accelerator pump not functioning properly. Also, the 009 will give some pretty bad flat spots with the 34 pict3 carb. You may also have a minor vacuum leak as suggested earlier. The line that used to go to the distributer from the carb...was it blocked off when the new dizzy was installed and is the plug in good condition?

The carb does have plugs where the line used to go. I did change the accelerator pump housing because the old one where the clip that holds the spring on was worn out. But it did have the same problem before i changed it.
