Born and raised in CA,Married 31 years, Three kids three grand-kids.Always liked VW ,I have a 63 Herbie The Love Bug and I have had him for about 9 years and we do a lot of charity events, Car has been used by Disney ,Make a Wish ,Toys for Tots,US Air,force,Army and Marines. Herbie got to take a lap at the NASCAR Pepsi 500 and he was in the Hollywood Christmas Parade.

Matt : 71-74 standard bugs are great years, less rust on or in the cars than older cars and can be converted to baja bugs with the irs rear end and a type 181 (thing)front end on a budget if they want a baja down the road, just a thought.
TeshSeb : Eddie, no smog until 75, depending on your budget, every car worth something but thos models are not the most desirables. Newbus, what engine do you have, on a stock 1600 keep your 34, I have a 71 too and it is running great just like that, but with the dual vacuum distributor
