I went to the Treffen today. What can I say, awesome, amazing, wonderful cars. A lot of classics, a few customs... Around 80 pre 57 Volkswagens, KDFs, Hebs, Splits, Ovals, Buses, Ghias, Rometsch and Porsches like the first time back in 2007, my eyes are hurting, I was in heaven.

A slammed red and ivory Hebmuller on Fuchs just after the entrance, in front of two Kubel and a Schwimm. Just behind them were three pre 1950 splits, with a 1942 KDF. Already at this point you feel like there is something special in this place. The time for me to close my eyes and to take a good, deep, long breath. I'm going straight under the big tent, passing threw a few splits and some convertibles and “bing”....two Rometsch, one Hebmuller, oval, Porsche , Buses.... Ok I need to go outside this is too much for me, not right now !!!

I walk through the side door and there were maybe 10 to 12 Splits in front of me, on the side, a line of buses, with beautiful barn-doors, an awesome unrestored walk-thru Panelvan tried to talk to me but I think my mind was already gone ;) and I didn't pay attention... now I regret it, I know he had a lot to say...

After this I climbed a big grass area to try to find a little freshness but “com'on Seb, you are at the Treffen you came for that, just stand up and grab your camera !!!”... This area was consecrated to the Oval windows, with a line of convertibles, unrestored, restored, customs, all beautiful. There were a few buses too, with an amazing "new" crewcab...I was dreaming of a brand new RagRold after that...

On the other side a few expositors were proposing parts, toys, posters,.... I founded a refurbished fuel pump for the 36hp and a few posters, hopefully I stopped after that.

It was hard to leave but you know how it is, life is continuing, it was just like waking up after a long and pleasant dream...real life was insipid after that, I'm sitting in my modern car, start it in silence, put the AC on, first gear without any cracking noise...gee where am I....wrong era maybe....
